IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS

CAN I HIRE THE BOAT IF I HAVE FORGOTTEN MY BOAT LICENCE?

No, we have strict regulations set out by the AMSA in regards to hiring powered boats.
We will accept a photocopy or a printed email copy of your license.

I LIVE IN THE NORTHERN TERRITORY WHERE BOAT LICENCES ARE NOT COMPULSORY, WILL I STILL REQUIRE ONE?

Yes, we still have to follow the regulations set out my AMSA.

WILL YOU ACCEPT INTERNATIONAL BOAT LICENCES?

Yes, we will accept valid international licenses.

CAN WE HIRE IF WE HAVE 2 ADULTS AND 3 SMALL CHILDREN?

No, our boats are licensed to carry 4 passengers.

CAN WE BRING DRINKS/SNACKS?

You most certainly can, we just ask that you keep the boat neat and tidy and take your rubbish with you.

IS HIRING A BOAT SUITABLE WITH CHILDREN?

Of course, we can supply life jackets for children over the age of 2

DOES IT GET COLD ON THIS CRUISE?

During the months of June to August it can get cold out at Lake Argyle.
We recommend bringing a jumper or jacket and/or a change of clothes.

DO YOU HAVE CHANGE FACILITIES AND TOILETS?

Yes, at our office.

IS IT SAFE TO SWIM IN LAKE ARGYLE?

Certainly, we do have freshwater crocodiles in Lake Argyle but these creatures don’t actively hurt humans. We swim in the deeper parts of Lake Argyle where they frequent less.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET TO LAKE ARGYLE FROM KUNUNURRA?

Lake Argyle is 70kms from Kununurra. The drive should take approx 50 minutes, but we recommend giving yourself an hour travel time.

IS LAKE ARGYLE ROAD ACCESSIBLE BY 2WD CARS?

Certainly is, Lake Argyle Road is sealed the whole way. There are some spots you will need to slow down due to the condition of the road and you do need to check the road conditions in the ‘wet season’.

IS IT SAFE TO DRIVE BACK TO KUNUNURRA AFTER THE CRUISE?

It will be dark by the time this cruise finishes. We advise to pay extra attention on the road as there is stray wildlife. We also advise to drink responsibly on the cruise.
Alternatively, we do offer return transfers from Kununurra. Please contact our sales team for more information 08 91687 687.
